So, the original dongle that came with my Viper V2 Pro stopped working, so I'm planning on buying the hyperpolling wireless dongle. Would I need to first buy the hyperspeed dongle as a replacement in order to use the hyperpolling wireless?

    No. You can buy and use Hyperpolling dongle without original hyperspeed dongle.
