I used the razer recovery utility tool, lost everything

I used the razer recovery utility tool in the BIOS settings on my razer blade 15. I didn’t know it would actually end up factory resetting the ENTIRE PC. The question is; how do I recover back all of my files and everything before it got wiped out?

Did you follow and complete the backup as prompted? I've done the process from Windows and from the BIOS and they both inform you to complete your own backups first as everything will be erased. If you have a OneDrive or Google account, then documents, etc should be backed up to the cloud provider and will be available online. Apps, games, etc., are generally up to you to re-install after re-formatting.

I did not create any backups whatsoever. It was all accidental. I have been researching on ways to recover it. The closest solution is a deep file recovery. Would it still be able to recover some files (I.e photos, videos, music and document files) after a razer recovery utility factory reset from the BIOS settings?

File recovery software has the potential to recover, but you need to do it now before you start installing games again, etc, otherwise, you will end up overwriting the 'lost' files forever. Find some that have a trial mode first to see if it can recover anything before you purchase. You can also take it to file recovery specialists - this will cost a lot, however.

During system recovery, there's a big chance, that some files will be overwritten. You can try recover your files with Photorec software: https://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Download Avoid making many writes on disk, because you'll decrease chance of proper file recovery.

Hello there. Had same issue a few momentos ago. Could not open my razer blade because the aptio setup. I tried everything to get out of the setup but nothing worked, so I went to the recovery mode (F9) and went for the recovery button, thinking that, possibly was going to fix the problem but instead, it just reintalled everything from cero. I downloaded Disk Drill, but there is nothing there. Any solution please???

Because the raizer is the maximum crooked equipment with very bad engineers and tech support. Only an absolute clinical idiot could make a laptop without the ability to restore the bios.

On the topic, the same idiot decided that the only recovery that he knows is a complete reinstallation of the system with deletion of all your files, next time do not believe the pretty wrapper and buy a normal laptop, at least with adequate tech support, which can something more than crying “we're sorry but there is no way to flash the bios”
