I want to upgrade my internal storage and have no idea what would be best

Around a year ago I purchase a Razer Blade laptop (Razer Blade 15” Base (2020) | RZ09-0328x Support) with 256 GB SSD. I want to upgrade the internal storage to 2 TB but have no idea what brand or model to get. The specs are too confusing for me and I don't even know if this is the right place to ask, but if anyone as any suggestions or knows a good replacement I'd love to hear it. Thank you!

By the look of the specs of your model, you should have an empty PCIe slot, so you can just add a 2nd SSD to it. It's a PCIe 3 x4 slot, so you will need to get this specific interface when purchasing. Something like this should do the trick! Do a google search for 'm.2 pcie 3.0 ssd' and you should get items for sale.

Hey sorry if this is asking for too much info, there's a lot of this I'm still a little confused about, but when you say that there should be an empty PCIe slot, does that mean I won't have to replace the 256 GB that I already have? I tried looking up the "m.2 pcie 3.0 ssd" but I got confused about the specs and don't know for a fact if they line up. All I ended up doing was throwing the link you shared into google and found the same thing on Samsung's website. Would it be better to buy from the link you sent or from Samsung's official website? I do again apologize if I'm asking you to do all of the research, I just don't want to spend a lot of money on stuff I have no idea if it'll work or not.

Yes, you don't have to replace your old drive, you just can add additional one, to expand storage.
Samsung NVMe will be fine, also you can look at Crucial NVMe drives (I've never had any problem with them), also Crucial support will help you choose correct drive for your laptop.

No problem sonic! I agree with FiszPL above in regard to Crucial. In fact, their website has an awesome SSD/Memory finder here which will show compatible upgrades for your laptop. Just remember yours is a PCIe 3 slot. You can use a PCIe 4 device in a 3 slot, but the device will only run as fast as the 3 slot can handle. This won't cause you any issues, it just means that you may pay slightly more for a 4 device that you won't get 4 performance from.

The sample website I used in my first post was to an Australian web store. The Crucial website can re-direct you to a local supplier.
Thank you both, this is very helpful. You're awsome!
Hey, sorry to bother you again but after looking around I think I'll buy this one off Amazon. I think this matches up with the info that you all gave me, but if anyone could verify I would greatly appreciate it.

Looks to be a fine choice! It's the first one Crucial recommends on their website for your model. It is a gen 4 device, so you won't get the max speeds it is capable of, but it will still perform well. I've attached a screenshot of the Crucial website for reference.
