Integrated camera stopped working | Razer Insider

Razer Blade 15 camera won't start. I have tried removing and re-adding it in device manager, but it shows up as "USB camera". Any thoughts if this is a driver issue or hardware problem?
My RB15 shows as 2 cameras in device manager; Integrated Camera, and Integrated IR Camera. Both are standard Microsoft supplied drivers (as in, not Razer a developed driver). With reference to this article, scroll to the bottom of the page. There is a picture showing the device manager with the 2 cameras, and the step states to Uninstall. The next screen shot shows the 'Are you sure' dialog, but the title states 'USB Camera', suggesting the screen shot with the 2 cameras showing was taken after the 'fix'. Hope that makes sense! I am suggesting to try removing and let Windows scan for hardware changes again and see if Windows can detect it correctly.

Thanks for your response. I tried this, but after rescanning, it still comes back as "USB Camera" rather than integrated camera.
Potentially a hardware issue, but it still detects a camera which is a little odd! Is it still under warranty?

Unfortunately, no.
Have you tried a clean Synapse install, just in case?

  • Uninstall Synapse

  • Download & run this tool: https://rzr.to/Tf53xj to remove any razer drivers/leftovers

  • Then restart your PC

  • After reboot install Synapse again (as administrator).

Hello I have the same problem, since Razer support has cut me out because of warranty expired, I need to refer to community.

Problem is camera is detected, but cannot be started "Camera error 0xa00f4271 code on Windows 10"

Razer Blade 15 RZ09-03286G22

In tried everything and nothing helped. Only drivers avaialable is from Windows

I had the same issue and just solved it! I just got a Razer Blade 15" (2022) | RZ09-0421x and the camera worked fine for the first few days then suddenly stopped working. Could not be recognised by any application. Uninstalling and reinstalling the device didn’t help, even with reboot in between. What fixed it was updating the BIOS and MCU/EC. You can download the latest versions on razer website. For my system, that was here

So happy to get my camera back! Hope this helps someone else :)
