This has been the case for a while now. The mic although listed as an input device does not register any level, regardless of what I try.
Any help appreciated.

You're not the only one with this problem. I've had this on my 2018 Blade Advanced for several months now. I've always used a wired headset or USB speakerphone, so it hasn't been a huge issue, but it's good to hear that I'm not the only one seeing this.

Sorry to hear you are having the same issue, I have seen others too with the same problem. I spoke to Razer's support team yesterday who sent me a link to bios version 1.07 which isn't available on the downloads page for some reason, there is also a download for the newer EC update 1.03. That may or may not help you. They seemed to think that it corrects most microphone and webcam related problems that exist. I am not entirely sure why they are not public (the woman on chat said they should be), so exercise the usual caution, but they are official Razer releases. I have installed them without issue, but also reinstalled windows afterwards.
