Had my Razer BlackShark V2 Pro 2023 version for about 3 months now compared the previous version the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro 2020 version having that headset for about 2 years. 3 months in my right hinge broke while the 2020 version never had an issue with the physical product.
Is the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro 2023 hinges made with cheaper material then previous 2020 versions?
Appears to be a common design flaw. Same thing happened to me after 2 months maybe. I don't even know if there is any recourse.
Same happened to me after roughly 6 months of normal usage. I even handled them with extra care, gently putting them down, never dropped them or anything. Both hinges completely fell apart so now both earcups are just dangling from the head ring. I’m super disappointed because the sound is great, battery is great, mic quality is amazing but I didn’t realize the build quality is so poor.
My last Razer headset completely fell apart due to weak plastic, and I just keep giving them another chance to find myself disappointed. How did you resolve the issue? Did they accept warranty for this?
Same thing happened to me after only two months of normal usage. No dropping, treating them well. I am starting the RMA process as well. I think maybe they need to recall these.
It has to be a production and/or material issue. Had to send my first Blackshark v2 Pro(2023) back due to a broken hinge (out of nowhere after putting off the headset) and got them replaced. After 2 months of extra careful usage, exactly the same thing happened again. It’s really really disappointing because I loved everything else about the headset, even the white noise when using the mic sidetone that many people critisize was fine for me. I guess I won’t give it a third try
Mine got broken too yesterday, on the right hinge, still wainting for the warranty team response.
