Is Thunderbolt 3 port connected to Nvidia GTX1080?

Hi, I have a Razerblade Pro 17 with GTX1080 graphics card purchased in December 2016. I'm not sure if this is considered a 2016 or 2017 model ??? Is the thunderbolt port connected to the Nvidia card, is there anything I need to do settings wise to make this happen? thanks! strat
