issues with the razor Wolverine ultimate controller

I recently just got a razor wolverine ultimate, brand new out of the box, but for some reason the dead-zones on the controller feels off, I thought it was the game at first but now I’m having doubt that it might be the controller. If I move my right stick to the left it feels like it boost to the left but when I turn right it has a slight pause. I’ve been frustrated with the controller and I’m just thinking about switching can anyone help me?
