Issues with USB on Blade 15" 2019

Hi,

I am experiencing issues when trying to connect an ICY BOX IB-246-C31 USB-C 3.2 Drive enclosure (containing a SATA SSD) to my Razer Blade. No matter what port I connect it to (the USB-C Thunderbolt 3, or any of the other USB ports), it connects and runs as a USB 2.1 device (i.e speeds less than 480 Mbps). I have tried two different USB-C cables - the one that came with the enclosure and another rated US B3.1, but it makes no difference.
Any ideas what I can try to sort this out? I could buy another enclosure but my feeling is that this is an issue with the Razer Blade!

I don’t expect to get any answer on this but here goes anyway…

SO the last post can be ignored - it’s gone back to USB2 speeds again. Can’t get it to recognise the drive as USB3.2  now. I have to say that I have never come across such a badly made piece of $$$$ as this - the internal camera and mic went wrong  and I don’t know if the USB has ever worked properly….

PS it’s 2018 not 2019
