Hi,
I have got some issues with using external monitor. Or I should say monitors, since I have tried more than one monitor.
I have an asus monitor connected to my 2019 Razer Blade 15 with a mini displayport to displayport cable. ESL cable, capable of high bandwith transfers. The cable works great on other setups.
When I start the computer, it doesn't recognize the monitor and I cannot find it in windows graphics settings. And in nvidia control panel I cant find settings for display, only the settings for "3D settings" and "Developer".
If I unplug the monitor cable from the computer, wait for 5-10 seconds and then plug the cable back in. The Razer Blade screen flickers and suddenly it recognizes both the internal and external screen. Now the settings in windows appears for multiple displays and nvidia control panel shows the "Display" settings.
When this happens, sometimes everything works smothely and sometimes the picture "lags" on the external monitor. Dragging any program window appears to lag, like the input is like 10 hz or something. This seems to be pretty random.
I have downloaded the latest nvidia drivers and of today. I have tried more than one monitor and the cable works fine. What could the problem be?

Christian Lundgren
