Just bought Nari Ultimate for my Son, won't pair with xbox

Bought this headset as a birthday gift so that my son could wirelessly connect to his xbox. The box listed xbox one as a compatible platform as well as about everything else. Problem is when I go to connect it to the xbox i get nothing. Will this headset only work with the wire to the controller? I should have bought the xbox br anded version to get true wireless? Help!

I dont know much about XBox to be of much help sorry. I own the Nari Ultimate for PC. By the look of the instructions, they should be compatible.

Actually, I found this after the above post:

The Razer Nari Ultimate can be used with your Xbox One using the 3.5mm cable. To connect your headset to the Xbox One using the 3.5mm port, please visit the official Xbox support page.

Note: The wireless operation of the Nari ultimate is not possible on the Xbox One. For a wireless Xbox One connection, check out the Razer Thresher for Xbox One.
