The problem with Logitech is their software will not work with Xbox games on PC.   And neither ms or Logitech will fix the problem.   If you want to map buttons to keys you have to edit lines of code for every game that you want to create any type of key binds on your mouse.   I ditched Logitech simply for that.  The other major problem with Logitech is that their software constantly stops detecting your mouse, and you have to do a bunch of things just for the software to see your mouse again so that way you can use the key binds you created.   Like reboot or run as admiration, end task.  Throw Hail Mary, pray to the old gods and the new gods.  Jump up and down, spin around, do a handstand or somersault in hopes that it will detect your mouse in the softwareIt’s awful and I don’t know how Logitech sells any gaming mics anymore.

i’ll never buy Logitech again because of the lack of software support

Razor has been 100% solid up into this stupid synapse 4 which ruined everything

I dunno man, my logi gear is still working fine and sonis G Hub. I still have my Powerplay Mat, G502 Lightspeed and Logi webcam. All are working fine even in xbox gamepass games.

My customized buttons won’t work with the latest software.

Why would you break something that worked so well?

Sometimes games profile wouldn’t change automatically too…

wtf Razer, seriously?

Synapse 4 is a disaster.

Yeah I agree. The first time I downloaded it, it couldnt even detect my mouse. I thought I had a defective mouse until I tried Synapse 3. Not a good experience for a first-time Razer customer.

Agree. My naga v2 pro was working perfectly fine the synapse 3, and I decided to give v4 a go and now customized button stop working in wireless mode, and even after trying to connect to razer dock pro, it still not working. And even worse that for some reason, after I uninstall v4, and tried to reinstall v3, the setup file said it couldn’t connect to internet, but the set up file for v4 was still working, so now I’m stuck with v4 and wired mode if I want to use my mouse.

Issue still exists. Additionally, Snap Tap is not working. That’s an easy fix as you can simply use SnapKey anyway, but non-working keybinds are a horrible issue that fundamentally undermines the purpose of Synapse. Surprised Razer doesn’t even acknowledge it.

Umm I am having a similar problem.

Just bought a Basilisk v3.
Did a macro.

Synapse 4 is not allowing me to map macro to a button stating - from within synapse - that I need synapse to do that.

Starting to regret my buy decision :(

I seem to have fixed this issue by unpairing my Razer mouse pro dock with my mouse then adding a new default profile for the dock and re pairing the mouse. After that all my custom settings worked

Unfortunately, I tried what you said with my hyperpolling wireless dongle, i can’t change the button 8 each time it switched (tactile or free) but when I plug the USB dongle of the Basilik v3 pro, it works so I don’t know what to do now.

I guess I will go back to the Synapse 3 for the moment until they fix the problem...

Started to have this issue out of the blue today. Everything works fine if I turn Synapse 4 off completely.

Latest naga model, windows 11
Razer software is pure garbage

So beyond the buttons not remapping using Synapse 4, my Razer Viper V3 Pro decided AGAIN (this was a unit replaced by Razer from my original) to randomly drop wireless connectivity even on the latest drivers/firmware/synapse etc. Even on multiple computers. They are now sending me another replacement unit. I mean, you can’t play FPS or any competitive game if the mouse randomly decides it will blink white and break connection mid game constantly. I think this is the last Razer product I will ever buy.

Hi all, I figured out a fix (workaround) for this after Razer support were unfortunately unable to resolve.

You’ll notice that this issue only occurs if you are signed into your Razer account on Synapse. If you sign and and use guest mode, it will work fine. I figured if the button mapping only works in guest mode, but logging into my account breaks things, then perhaps the cloud profiles are corrupt/incompatible. As such, I found it is possible to purge cloud data via: https://razerid.razer.com/account/privacy-center. I deleted "Razer Synapse" data, returned to Razer Synapse, logged in, exported the device profile, factory reset my device, deleted the current profile and re-imported the old profile. Now everything works fine, even if I am logged in.

Hope this helps!

Issue still present. What worked for me: change profile and than EXIT synapse - it works. It seems synapse overrides presets somehow.

RAZER, this is BASIC functionality and CRITICAL bug!! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND ALL THAT IS HOLY, PLEASE FIX IT!!

What do you mean - purge? Delete account?

My Basilisk V3 Pro mapping isn’t working with Synapse 4 running, nor with Synapse 4 off! The remapped buttons say “This mapping requires Razer Synapse.” Why isn’t this working properly?

Same, I can't use any of the features because of this error.

Similar but different issue, I was able to have the mapping working in v4. But I this issue I have is when you remap the key you press on your keyboard is totally different what synapse v4 picking up.

Spending some time trying to figure out what's going on and I finally worked out the app itself is hard coded to US region locale and totally ignore your system region locale.

What this means, if your windows keyboard locale is not US but the app itself is interpreting the key press signal as US locale (because it is hard coded) so when it comes to remapping key what you press on your keyboard doesn’t translate to the keys what is being set in the app.

For example:
GB keyboard, ‘ (single quote) is being interpreted as a ` (grave accent) on the same key location.
GB keyboard has the # on a non-shift, but if you go assign that key by picking the drop down option keyboard keys → symbol and finally select ‘#’ and save. When you go back in, it somehow change the key to shift+3 which is the US keyboard layout to get the ‘#’

If you want to figure out where that key located for US keyboard layout every time you change the mapping you can just use the v4. Otherwise, I’d just rollback to v3 as you got nothing to be gain from moving to v4 unless the device is not support in v3 then v4 is your only option.

But, what baffles me is how a multi-national company sells keyboard support different region keyboard layout doesn’t take user region locale into account on the v4 of the software. But, choose to hard code it or any way to change the setting within the app itself; mind you they somehow have this solved in v3.
