Kiyo Pro won't update and has to be unplugged/plugged in each restart

I have a Kiyo Pro that has to be unplugged and re-plugged every time the PC is started.  I see other have had the same problem.  What is the solution - I couldn’t find anyone that had resolved it.

Also, I can not update the firmware.  It is currently 1.0.1.8 with the latest being 1.5.0.1

When trying to update I receive a message “To proceed with the update, please contact Razer Support” where I am told I can’t receive support wthout paying a support fee.  A support fee for a firmware update?  Really?

Does anyone have any solutions to these problems?

Hi twoteas,

I’m here to help. To isolate the issue, please make sure to connect the device directly to your PC USB port and not to a USB hub. Download the Razer Kiyo Pro firmware here. If the firmware update fails, perform the steps below:

  1. Close the firmware updater application.
  2. Unplug and re-plug your Razer Kiyo Pro.
  3. Ensure the camera is not being used by any application.
  4. Run the firmware updater again.

If the issue problem persists, PM your device serial number so I can verify its model. All the best!
