Kiyo Questions Before Buying

Hi, I'd like to buy a Razer Kiyo ring light webcam but have a few questions: 1) Can it be mounted on the side of a monitor or does it have to be mounted on top? 2) If it can be mounted on the side, does the camera rotate the picture 90 degrees automatically? 3) Does the LED indicator light go on only when the camera is recording? Or does it go on all the time it is plugged into USB? 4) If the latter, how do I know when the camera is recording? Many thanks

1. Yes, it can be mounted on the side of the monitor. 2. You will need a third-party app to rotate the image. 3. The ring light is automatically enabled when you launch a compatible camera or third party broadcasting software with the Razer Kiyo set as its capture device. You may then rotate the Ring light adjustment knob clockwise or counterclockwise to increase or decrease the brightness of the ring light as needed.

Thank you Re: #2: Can you give me a few examples of such apps? I need this camera for Microsoft Teams meetings. Do you need to keep these apps running when on a Teams meeting in order for the image to be the right direction? Re: #3: So if I plug the Kiyo in my USB port, will the LED light stay off until I start a Teams meeting, for example? Cheers, Edit: Following up. Look forward to your reply. Thanks

I'm not exactly allowed to promote any third-party app. The ring light will stay off just until you launch an app that uses the camera, so you don't have to start actually start a meeting.
