Kraken 7.1 v2 Mic Constantly Unmutes Itself

As the title says, I have a Kraken 7.1 v2. It's about three or four years old now but this started happening in the last year or so. It will just randomly unmute itself (it literally just did it while I was typing this sentence). I don't touch the headset or anything, sometimes it does it when I start up a game so I think it has something to do with a program running and trigger something. Anyone have an idea of what's going on? Edit: I figure I should say: I have both versions of Synapse running on my PC, but have for a while before the problem started. Sometimes it only happens once and then nothing for almost half an hour, but other times it will unmute itself over and over for a solid 30 seconds (I usually mute it again as soon as it happens, which is how I know).
