Kraken 7.1 v2 USB issue w/ Synapse

As the title states, I have an issue w/ my Kraken USB when using synapse. I cannot run the calibration software. It plays no sounds to set up the virtual surround. Any ideas on what could be causing this? I've tried reinstalling the software and making sure I have all Windows updates. Oddly enough, my 2.1 speakers will play the calibration audio, but as soon as I switch it back to the headset it goes silent. It plays other audio and music with no issues. Any help?
