Kraken Drivers Not Installing

So I recently purchased a kraken 7.1 v2 without checking to see if it was a usb headset. My laptop, an alienware m15 r1, has only one aux port for a headset. When I use this port the mic quality is absolutely atrocious and my computer never installed any drivers. I cannot connect to synapse and my device manager does not even recognize the kraken as a device outside of speaker/headphones. Is there any way to fix this and install the drivers or do I have to return them and find a usb headset?
