Kraken TE microphone quiet everywhere but synapse sidetone

I got my Kraken TE yesterday. Since then, I've only had issues with it... I have finally fixed most but have the following that I cannot seem to fix:

• There is a very noticeable white noise every time audio is playing (any sort of audio). This is there with both the Razer Audio Controller - Game and THX Spatial - Synapse sources. If I watch a stream on Twitch and turn the volume slider down it is a lot more noticeable.This is not my biggest issue though. Which brings me to:
• The mic volume is awful. I have everything set to 100: in windows sound settings and in synapse. If I use the sidetone in Synapse 3 on like 50, the volume is fine. If I use the Windows playback option, I can barely hear myself. Also, if I look on the microphone monitoring line in sound settings, it barely moves when I speak. The microphone is nearly in my mouth. I have checked that it's the right way around... I have tried reinstalling, deleting drivers, reinstalling, deleting synapse, reinstalling. Messed with all the mic settings in synapse, but it's like they don't carry over outside of Synapse... I have tried recording with OBS and added a gain filter but even at like +5 dB gain, I am barely audible.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I'd rather not have to return the headset...
