Kraken with 3.5 jack does not detected by synapse

Dear All, Coluld you please help me: I just bought a Kraken with the standard 3.5 jack plug. If i plug it to my laptop, the laptop recognizes it however the Synapse 3 software does not. I tried to reinstall synapse and also to install synapse 2 however it didnt even start. Thank you in advance for your help. Twombli
