M5 Esc on Blackwidow Chroma stealth

I have a Blackwidow chroma Steath keyboard that worked fine except for the function keys. After looking up solutions i came across the m5 esp reset. Now my keyboard is cycling through the rainbow colors but doesn't work. I have reinstalled the driver, reinstalled the synapes, anything else i could try? The rainbow effect stops when i press a button and it lights that individual button, but it still is not working. Any help would be great. ty.
