Missing driver for Intel(R) Dynamic Tuning Technology Updater Component | Razer Insider
Skip to main content

Hello,

I have a Razer Blade 16 2023 with 4090. I see a highlighted device called Intel(R) Dynamic Tuning Technology Updater Component which doesn’t have driver. I tried to open the device properties and press the update driver button, but system is unable to find one. Does anyone else have this problem? Can anyone share this driver (.inf and .sys related files)?

I tried to recover my laptop using razer provided image, but got the same problem

Yeah I typically never ever use the OEM Provided Restore Image because it can be whack/goofy. Its best to use the Official Microsoft ISO on a USB and clean install from there as they typically work perfectly fine and then Windows Updates usually will grab your missing device drivers from there, its a lengthy process but its worth it when you are done 😏

i have razer blade 16 2023 with 4080 . i have same problem to . Can anyone help us pls ? After all updates this is happened .

@LiLmEgZ thanks for the hint.
I created an installation media as described Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com)
I added IT Administrator Links for Intel®️ PROSet/Wireless Software wifi driver to the installation flash drive as described here: Get connected when setting up your Windows 11 PC - Microsoft Support
Without wifi drivers windows installation will stuck on the wifi connectivity step (list of wifi networks is empty since driver is missing). You will have to navigate through installation without trackpad since only the keyboard works (again because of the missing drivers).

I booted from that usb drive by pressing F12 multiple times after powering on my laptop. Then I installed Windows 11. Then I ran windows update and installed all drivers suggested in that list. After that there is no such device in the list and nothing is highlighted. I’ve checked all tabs in the device list multiple times and haven’t found that device. Everything works. @klostrofobii you can try to uninstall that device in the device manager and check if it comes back. Unfortunately I can’t share that driver (even if it exists somewhere) since that device is not in the list and I can’t check a path to the driver. Most likely that was a phantom device which is not actually there.

Thank you . Actually I have another problem. When I bought the computer and turned it on, I had 2 graphics cards. Currently only 4080 is working. What is the reason of this ? Would it be a solution if I reset the computer? I don't understand why I can't use the other graphics card.

@klostrofobii As far as I know only one card works at the time and there is a dynamic switch that shuffles them depending on the load. But if you have an external monitor connected, then 4080 should be always active. Btw what do you meen by only one card is working? Is there an issue with integrated video card in the device manager?

I have a feeling that this dynamic tuning device may be related to https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/17881/intel-extreme-tuning-utility-intel-xtu.html

@dlj87 I solved that problem. I had updated the firmware and bios and as a result, it automatically set only the 4080 graphics card. I went in and turned on switch mode. However, I still haven't found a solution to this Intel dynamic tuning problem. I think this is a problem found in other brands as well. However, there seem to be solutions for Asus and Dell. But I couldn't find any solution for razer.

Any update here?

Suddenly my Blade 2023 16 i9 4090 Windows 11 BIOS 2.03 got this driver missing.

Already tried everything i could find :(

@znaipar After I reinstalled windows on my Razer Blade 16 as I described above, everything works fine and no missing devices.

No way i will do that.. I have about 100 apps installed.. 🙂 This issue affect the usage of the Intel XTU?

Intel XTU may be the reason why that device is there

Thanks a lot for your answers! I will investigate and looking for solution further.

It seems as though no one really had a  good solution on here. But originally I had the same issue, reinstalling/recovery windows 11 didn’t work.

I looked all over and there is no driver that works.

What did work was reinstalling the image from Razer:

Razer Online Services Recovery Image Download

I did also completely wipe the drive of any residual partitions with a Macbook.

This is what did work for me.

Intel(R) Dynamic Tuning Technology Updater Component is no longer an error in device manager.

Let me know if this helped you :)
