Mouse pointer stumbling and crashing

The pointer of my mouse when connected by wireless 2.4 to the dodge, keeps tripping and locking up. It stops stumbling when I connect the USB directly to the mouse or when I remove it from the dodge and connect it to the computer directly. I have already updated the drivers and cleaned the mouse sensor but nothing solves it.
