Muffled and muddy sound in newly purchased Razer Kraken Headset

I recently purchased the razer kraken and the sound quality seems to be muffled and muddy. I use it on Xbox. Is there anyway to fix this problem?

    I got a Kraken TE, my apple wired earphones create better sound than these. Before I bought these I was using an old pair of Astro A34 that lasted me 3 years. Razer should stay away from the headset game.

    Looks like nobody has an answer. Same issue here. I even bought DTS thinking that would help and it didn't. The bass is just muddy, very weird.

    Hey everyone! Thanks for initiating this thread. Have you checked if the issue happens while the headset is connected to a Windows PC? Please update its driver if there's an available in Razer Synapse 3.0. Also, click this link and check your headset's firmware is updated.
