As the title suggests, my friend purchased his headset from another person. The problem is that in order to fully use the headset for some ungodly reason, Razer wants every aspect of the purchasing process to be documented.
I got mt friend into PC gaming recently and I recommended Razer to him. This is a decision I would soon come to regret as it seems that Razer overlooked the fact that people actually give away and sell products when they want to upgrade, instead of just throwing them away.
So my friend found a good deal on I think Facebook marketplace for a Razer Barracuda X. Obviously the guy who sold him the headset did not keep the box or store receipt, so the only thing handed over was the headset itself. For most things in this world that would not be a problem, however Razer decided that you need a few different codes, the date of purchase, the address of purchase, and probably a few other things.
My question boils down to this. How does somebody who purchased or was gifted a Razer product second hand get full use of that product?
Side note since I know this will be the first thing suggested. We did reach out to the guy and ask if he had any of the stuff we would need, only to find out that the headset was his brothers who had in fact died. So there is NO BOX, NO RECIEPT, and we have no idea what time, date or location it was originally purchased.
