My headset's microphone is not working

Hello. Recently, I bought Razer Blackshark V2 X from the store. I plugged it in my 3.5mm audio jack. I am using laptop so I did not use the audio mic splitter. I tried testing the microphone on discord but it seems to not detecting my microphone. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Hello man, the same thing happened to me and I tried buying a USB with 2 jack inputs and it still doesn't work. Can anybody help us?

    now when i use my old earphone, it also does not detecting my earphone's microphone. it's a pain in the ass when i want to play with my friend ugh

    IKR, but for me it only happens with my brand new headphones, and I'm pretty much f'd couse I cant return them:(

    @grubbyhorse @Two2Lives. Check if the mic works on a smartphone. If it does, you will want to check the settings on App Volume and Device Preferences in Windows Sound Settings. Send me the serial number of your headsets should you need further assistance. *Locking the thread to curb the conversation to PMs.
