Naga Epic chroma scroll wheel tilt buttons not working ( 8 and 9)

i just had to recently rebuy a new one of these mice after years of not gaming and i remember these button working in games still have the set up for them but after buying this new one i tried to program the left tilt and right tilt buttons to no avail. so i uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times no luck. then i tried to see if the button even worked as its normal original set up and still did nothing outside of games or in. I've heard there is a setting to turn off the scroll wheel in a sense but couldn't find anything in synapse 2 to see if it was turned off.. really hoping to hear back soon before i end up just sending this back in. thank you :)
