Naga Hex V2 mouse RANDOMLY stops tracking, all clicks still function

This issue has just started about a week ago. Its a 3-4 year old mouse. Yes, I know I should upgrade, but having the 7 thumb buttons in a circle is something that I have gotten used to. Anyways, the issue is that I will be playing a game, and out of nowhere the mouse stops moving around, but all buttons still function. It takes a frustrating 10-15 secs of tapping and shaking the mouse before it functions properly again. I have tried different usb ports. The issue happens when it is plugged into my laptop as well as on my desktop. This issue is bringing me back to the days of picking out bellybutton lint around the mouseball rollers because your cursor isn't moving like it should, but sadly without the satisfaction of pulling out a fat gob of deskdust from the mouseball hole because there isn't any dust collected on the sensor. I can't be the only one that weirdly enjoyed that... Is my "slightly" out of warranty Naga Hex doomed for the "box of computer parts and wire collection that I might need some day but never use again"? Please tell me there's some quick update patch that solves this. I used the Synapse calibrate feature, but the problem is still intermittent during use. I even tried blowing out the usb plug, Nintendo cartridge style. Runnin out of ideas here Razer, plz help!

I highly recommend that you perform a clean installation of Synapse before running the calibration tool. You should also clean the sensor using a Q-tip dipped into rubbing alcohol. Make sure to unplugged the mouse before doing so, and let it dry for a few minutes before plugging it back in. That said, we may be dealing with a faulty sensor due to age and wear and tear.

I recently got the same problem after downloading synapse 3. Stops working and the cursor moving really far after picking the mouse up slightly. Clearly a software issue and if I buy a new mouse I would probably not buy razer just because this is a software problem that's has nothing to do with normal wear and tear.

@Zakkimann OP already stated that his mouse has been in service for a long time and there was no mention of another app possibly causing the issue. You're clearly experiencing a different problem, so I'll be locking the thread to keep the salt levels on a tolerable level. If you need help, send me a PM.
