new Blade 15 OLED (2022) battery not lasting | Razer Insider

For the second time, I have had this headache of an issue with a brand new Razer laptop.

Last year, I bought a Blade 15 and it had battery issues (

). After a long long back and forth with support, and a chaotic RMA to get that laptop replaced, I finally got another device after months, but...same issue with the replacement one.

I am only opening this complaint now, after many months, because I had to move overseas and could not send the laptop to get it repaired/replaced, but the issue was noticed a long time ago, and now since I moved back to Portugal (where I originally bought the laptop from), I am opening this thread.

The issue is the same as the previous device, which is also the same model. Battery won’t last at all, using the laptop or not, and it will drain even when the laptop is asleep. My usage is very simple. I rarely set brightness to max as I want to be careful with the OLED panel, as well as I let it ventilate well and keyboard brightness is always set to 12%. I hardly do heavy tasking that would consume battery the way it does, and if I ever do some gaming or photo editing, I do it plugged in. Simply browsing or doing file management offline will make the battery die quickly. It is not acceptable since reviews of this model would mention the battery lasting many hours, and all I get is averaging 2hs or a lot less at times. Battery health has gone from 80,219 mWh all the way down to 76,661 mWh, and I always leave Battery health optimizer on, only disabling it to generate battery reports periodically to gather as proof when opening this thread.

Since this device is still under warranty, I’d like to request it to be repaired, or tbh and better yet, replaced by another OLED laptop, since I know from my previous RMA experience that Razer wasn’t capable to fix it.

@Razer.Zionzedd , maybe you could help me out?

lovely support from Razer!!! I’m fully satisfied with the flawless devices from the brand, the many replies when asking for support, and the thousands of support messages trying to reach out!! ~sarcasm vibes~
