I purchased my son an identical used razer stealth to mine, with exception of the processor.....
installed a geforce gpu GTX 1070
my stealth recognizes the CORE, his does not
I am getting an error that my windows version is out of date, so I purchased the windows 10 pro version today, and that did not help. I have tried the normal google search results and having no success.
here are the computer specs

I can't give you a phone call, but I can try to help you make things work. Please send me the serial number of your son's laptop and Core X. I'd appreciate it if you can share a screenshot of how the Core X appears on the Device Manager, if at all. For now, uninstall the Thunderbolt 3 drivers and run Windows Updater.
