Only one side working Razer Blackshark v2 Hyperspeed

I purchased the headset today, have the applications installed and even changed the spacial audio to THX, however from start to finish the audio only comes through the left side. the voice that says powering on and off also is restricted to the left side (although I cannot say for certain whether or not that is normal).

Obviously i would prefer my surround sound headset have 2 functioning sides.

I have already performed the actions on the troubleshooting document, the problem does persist on other computers.
