Orochi V2 Skipping

my Orochi V2 has an issue with skipping, and I can't find any way to fix it. it's been several months now. the issue: (usually) the right mouse button will release for a fraction of a second while I'm holding it. Sometimes it does the same with the left mouse button, but its harder to tell and seems less frequent frequency: this happens very randomly. some weeks it will be almost unnoticeable, some weeks or days it will make it nearly unusable. most of the time it occurs just a couple times per hour, but it sometimes it's a lot worse. it appears to be completely random. what I've tried: the only help I could find pertinent to the subject said to 1. plug it into a USB 3.0 and 2. update firmware. I've tried it in both USB 2.0 and 3.0, and I've update and double checked that my firmware is updated. Here is a video I found of somebody who seems to have the exact same issue: adjusting the polling rate on my mouse seems to help some amount. it doesn't seem related to the distance from my computer (about 2 feet, computer is under my desk

the battery thing is kinda silly, I said I've had the issue for several months- I've been through a lot of batteries. haven't tried it on another PC yet, will probably try it tomorrow. Thanks for the input!
