Hi, I have the base model Blade 15 with the i7-10750H and the RTX 2070 Max Q and I never had decent performance from it when unplugged. Doom 2016, for example would hover in the 15-25 fps when unplugged. However, when plugged in I managed around 60-75 fps on high settings.
However over the last year I've noticed the performance getting progressively worse. I used to be able to run Minecraft RTX at 1440p resolutions with around 120-140 fps but now I struggle to get even 45 fps - during normal gameplay it hovers in the mid-30s.
I cleaned out the fans and made sure there was no dust inside, I also ensured the laptop was in gaming performance mode, and at one point even set the fans to manual mode at max speed but I didn't see any significant improvement in performance.
Is there anything I can do to save this laptop? I've only had it for just over a year and a half.
The model number is (*Omitted)

Be sure that battery power plan is set to high performance
I'd check temperatures while gaming. For eg. with HWInfo tool.
You'll see if the temperature is high, and cpu/gpu is throttling, so the performance will decrease.

Ensure that the laptop received all the latest Windows and Synapse updates. Also, check if your unit's BIOS firmware version is on 1.06. You may download the file here. Please check the related articles that can help improve your laptop's performance:
