Physical layout of US and UK keyboards

Bit of an odd question here, and I wasnt really sure where to put it. Is the underlying physical layout of these two keyboards the same? I know that the return key is the biggest physical difference but is that just the keycap or the actual switches? I ask this because I'd really like a Blackwidow Elite with yellow switches and a UK layout but this doesnt exist.
