Try his:

Razer Support (Thank You Jamel so much!):

  1. Uninstall Razer Synapse,
  2. remove folders:

    - C:\Program Files\Razer
    - C:\Users\V\AppData\Local\Razer
    - C:\ProgramData\Razer

  3. Download https://dl.razerzone.com/drivers/Synapse3/win/DriverCleanup.zip and run this tool as administrator,
  4. after complete cleanup reboot Your computer (unplug all razer devices after clicking on reboot lol)

    Done! 😎

This did the trick for me, hence the THX audio device is gone, with the Game device everything works apart from the THX LED did not light up when the THX profile is active, but working.

THANKS! At least the EQ works, that’s all I wanted!!!

Try the above folks, hope it helps for everybody!

I think I found some sort of solution… go into windows ‘installed apps’ and search for synapse then click modify.

click modify again and then make sure to check “THX SPATIAL AUDIO” under “optional modules”. this will install that and then thx spatial audio returned to the windows settings.

However it says that this requires activation and gives you a 15 day trial, which very much worries me that maybe they decided to make thx spatial audio a paid thing?

Its a different app nothing to do with our controller

Ah ok I wasn’t aware of that, but it’s a temporary solution to get some 7.1 effect enabled until they fix the main app.

There was a Razer THX sign in the place I marked before, but now there is a sign related to Microsoft.

That's why thx is not active.

This is a, " let's throw it out there and see what happens update."

Razer should have an update fix soon.

That THX spatial audio free trial period someone asked about has been around since at least 2019. I only noticed it back then when I bought my Razer kraken tournament edition headphones. Which THX spatial audio is already built in.

I’ve just installed the Synapse update 07.11.23 and Spatial Sound appears to be working again within Synapse.  I haven’t thoroughly tested, but appears promising.
To play through your device, looks like you now choose the device name under Windows sound settings rather than THX Audio which is no longer present.

I don't even have the update yet, does the region affect when the update will be released?

This, unfortunately, only fixes the controllers. There is some modicum of change, but we no longer have the sound quality we had with THX. It still sounds like the audio comes out of plastic cups, no matter what setting I use.

So the equaliser settings and sound enhancements work now, but switching between stereo and THX Audio in Synapse does not make an appreciable difference, if any.  I’m desperately listening for a change, but I’m afraid I’m only hearing what I want to hear.
Correction:  The switch between Stereo and THX Spatial doesn’t seem to work for my Razer Headphones (Razer USB Sound Card UI), but the switch is working within the Leviathan V2 UI..

I turned on my computer to find a razer update and to my surprise it breaks synapse causing me to lose the spatial audio option making my audio horrible. thanks a lot razer you ruined my birthday.

It’s working now.  Just take your time to look at the new look and menu.  The only thing is the green THX light on the usb audio controller doesn’t light up. I tried Guild Wars 2 and it’s awesome now.

I unplugged the Razer headphones; rebooted; then plugged the headphones back in.  THX Spatial is working again with the headphones via Synapse.  Played Battlefield 2042 with THX competitive mode setting and I’m happy with the spatial sound again.
Note:  This is all after installing the Synapse 07.11.23 update for which I was prompted earlier this evening.  Update 06.11.23 is the update that broke Synapse spatial sound.

my thx audio is still not showing up as an output option

Same here - Razer BlackShark V2 with USB sound card, after last update of Razer Synapse, THX Spatial stopped working.  :(  Hope soon the problem will be resolved.

It’s certainly not fixed. I’ve done a good amount of troubleshooting, including uninstalling synapse twice and scrubbing the drivers, rebooting multiple times, unplugging and plugging back in. It’s almost like it’s half-fixed, but it’s certainly below par from what it was before the update on the 6th. It could just be a specific model of the sound card not working, but something is off with the sound quality that needs to be fixed.

For context, I do have the update for the 7th. It fixed the controllers, but not the sound quality itself.

same problem in my Razer Kraken Ultimated,
We must unite and expose this problem until it is solved!!!!!

I have blackshark v2 with usb ,after the update they sound so loud and my profiles on (microphone and sound) they got reset.. and sometimes i can hear the headset making some hising noise or something like that i cant describe it.. i hope they solve this soon.

Thank god I found this thread.

Another Blackshark v2 Pro user here - THX Spatial completely disappeared from my Windows sound settings, and switching between THX/Stereo in Razer Synapse does absolutely nothing.

Razer, we beseech you, please give us an update on this as soon as you can.

The general sound quality on the USB Sound Card option is awful as other people have mentioned throughout the thread.

Hoping for a fix ASAP PLEASE!

I'm using windows 10. Is there the same problem on windows 11?

Yep. I’m on Win11.

The only solution I found was to roll back using a restore point. The THX device will be present and surround sound will be available, but the synapse program will not work. Does support give any deadlines for a solution?

https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4166 Has anyone tried it?

i have Nari ultimate and my sound input THX audio is no longer there. I only have game and chat.  Also my audio just feels flat, the EQ is god awful and when i try to import my settings it just doesn't work

And NO haptics after this update…..

I tried it, but it didn't change anything.

  • I don't know if they've already solved it!
I didn't receive notification on my PC ;)
However, I had made a video tutorial.
A temporary solution for, Razer headphones, but not THX. is Dolby ;)
The sound is brutal, TOP TOP, and you can now play with the equalizer. voila.
    and choose your sound^^
because some people couldn't. they could change the equalizer etc and nothing changed.
For those who want good sound. here is the solution. For some it is temporary and for others it will perhaps be definitive.

DONE 🙂 links and tutorial  in the video description...

this cleaner DriverCleanup. never uninstalls everything 100%.
    I'm just informing you...
And I won't insist, I've already explained it in several tutorials in this post.
Those who know the folders and files of razer know well.
Those who don't know, don't even see the difference...
But yes, it does solve some basic things ;)
And if it solves your equalizer problems, that's fine^^
it's a good sign. But it doesn't solve it for everyone!
The problem is that we all have headphones of various models too.

And those who don't know the razer sound, for example: (if the person buys a razer headphone today). he won't know what the difference in sound is with this bug... of course. between the absent THX and tinny stereo, and equalizer that doesn't work, the person won't even notice XD.

In this post, we are giving temporary solutions to have more volume and bass.
But these solutions will not bring a new update, nor the THX.
And the THX trial to download on the site is only for speakers.

We all need a new patch/update, and I think many people still haven't realized it.
And in the post on the Reddit site, many people didn't understand either).

Razer should have created a post on the site for this problem, and also sent a notification to all users via synapse with the link of the post in question (explaining the situation)...
This would already avoid many posts and many doubts.
Meanwhile, thousands of people are uninstalling synapse, reinstalling, rebooting, rebooting, testing, rebooting, testing and rebooting in vain.
Others who don't understand anything about computers will take their PC to a technician (and pay for nothing).
-others will disassemble cables etc. (they will look for the problem that doesn't exist and in vain).
-others will change components, thinking it's a sound card, etc.
I don't even want to imagine lol.
Others don't know what to do and it's hundreds of hours that WE customers and users lose in vain.
Communicating is the minimum of respect and responsibility on your part RAZER.
I find it a little ignorant, no offense.
    I'm sorry for my honesty.
    peace.
    Paulo^^
