Hi! I recently bought Razer Basilisk mouse and I am using it on Macbook Pro (13 mid 2017), but have plenty of problems with setting up the buttons.
I use the mouse mainly for work, not gaming, as I set the buttons for most used actions in my most used programmes (that's why I bought it in the first place).
I also have Razer Naga Chroma and Ornata Chroma and have no problems, everything works normally.
With Basilisk, the problem is that it won't change profiles on it's own or it chooses a wrong profile (for example, two of the programmes I use are Photo Mechanic and Lightroom and it would change to Photo Mechanic when in Lightroom or vice-versa) and when I do change the profiles manually, the profiles get erased and I have to set up everything again. I did it at least 20 times over the weekend, I reinstalled the Synapse, tested with setting up a new account - nothing helps.
I also talked to the support, they were very helpful and really tried to help but in the end, they said Basilisk was meant to be used with Synapse 3 and it does not work with Synapse 2 but I did a bit of research and it is supported by Synapse 2 on Macbook. now, could this be true or is my Basilisk faulty?
if it is true - which Razer products can I use then, as I would try to change the mouse in the store? Mamba Elite would work?
but when Basilisk works, I love the mouse - great feel in the hand, extremely precise, very good ergonomics, nice feel on the buttons, great to be able to set the resistance of the scroll wheel (the only thing I miss on Naga Chroma), except for this problem with profiles.
