Hi guys,
I got my first Razer blade laptop last week, the 15 inch 2020 basic model with a 2060 graphics card.
It seems to get hot very quickly, even in idle it's around the 50*C mark and in game its around the 75*C mark. Is this normal? The fans also get quite loud as. When I plug the laptop out the fans get so much quicker and it cooks down a bit. I know this is because it's using less cpu because the FPS cuts from 70 to 30.

I'll give it a shot. I haven't seen my laptop get dangerously hot, but it is a little uncomfortable to see the CPU at 90-95 degrees when gaming. I'm more concerned about my laptop having a relatively long and healthy life hehe. For a while I disabled turbo boost which brought gaming temp down to around 75 degrees, but if there's an option that doesn't limit CPU performance as much it would be awesome.
I don't think so. Synapse is mainly for visual customization. Their options around hardware modifications are minimal (profile selection to boost cpu or gpu use...)
I'll try reinstalling it, it may be the factory install that is faulty

Uninstall Synapse and see if that helps. It did for me!
Interesting! Are there any potential downsides aside from not being able to customize the keyboard RGB?

I get the same, mostly gaming around 75-80, but sometimes as high as 95. Seems like cutting it a little close with the max temp
As far as I can tell, the behavior you described is fairly normal. An increase in temps is to be expected when the laptop is being charged, more so if it is being charged and drained at the same time. Do send me a PM should you encounter any signs of thermal throttling.
Its mainly in game that it shoots up to 75*c but its not even on intense graphics but cools down a huge amount when the laptop is not charging. See below your request
