Razer ARGB controller not working

I just plugged in the new ARGB controller and updated synpase. The device is not recognizing any led strips. Just says "No ARGB devices detected" Any help?
AMD 3600x @ 4.3ghz, MSI 2060 Super, MSI Tomahawk Max and lots of RGB. Destiny 2 is my game.

    did you try connecting with a standard USB micro cable into a USB port? the USB header to micro adapter that came with my controller was defective
