Razer Basilisk Scroll Wheel Issue

Hello Gentlemen, I have Razer Basilisk Ultimate and it’s scroll wheel is making issues. While scrolling downwards or upwards it automatically register scroll in different direction. For example while scrolling downwards it automatically registers scroll up as well.

  • I have cleaned it up using air blower (didn’t opened due to warranty void issues)
  • Updated the firmware on both charging dock and mouse
  • Windows is updates as well
  • Tried on a different machine with fresh installation

All these but nothing helps to resolve this issue. Now I’m thinking to buy the latest V3 version but scared due to this issue. I have been using Logitech mouse my entire life and they last very long. This was my first Razer mouse and it didn’t last 2 years. I bought the original mouse from Aliexpress because the official store don’t ship to Pakistan.

I’ve got the same issue, mouse is barely 2weeks out of the box (bought months ago for a gift).

Same here, started to happen after a bit more than 2 years so no warranty

Same here. The mouse started to show this problem before it turned out two years of work.

Had mine a few months, but I noticed the issue early on. The more I play, the more I realize how bad it is.

i have the same issue, yet no fix nor anything … 

and razer doesnt include a spare set of PTFE feet in case u wanted to diassmble the mouse for a cleaning , u have to buy ur own mouse feet

Having the exact same issue, issue started a couple months after purchasing; compressed air solves it for a couple minutes at a time but not permanently. Replying to boost the thread, maybe a Razer Employee will respond ever

And no mods here to help with the problem.

A temporary solution that worked for me was pushing the mouse wheel to the left, as if it was slid out of place before. This might not help everyone else but I felt it had a difference compared to when I pushed it to the right. (Wireless Basilisk V3)
