The mouse button four, one closest to my wrist, is not being recognized by any software. It was working a month or two ago. Read the other threads and tried their posts.
I have updated the firmware and reset the mouse through Razer Synapse. Also removed and re-installed the drivers. Confirmed there is no blockage of the button. Both Wireless dongle and wired. Out of ideas.
Mouse button 5 works just fine.

Recommendations on how to get inside the mouse's housing to check the button 4?

Did you ever get a chance to try it out on a different PC to check if it behaves the same? PM me the serial number of your device. I can use that to check if there's a model-specific way to fix this. I'd also appreciate it if you'd send me a copy of its proof of purchase to verify its warranty status.
