Razer basilisk ultimate stops registering all clicks except for the app I am tabbed into

This is a recent development, within the past 3 weeks. I've had my mouse for less than 9 months, and I have kept it in pristine condition. The problem: I have my mouse set to sleep after 5 minutes of inactivity. Half of the time when I wake it, clicks from the mouse don't register anywhere except for on the app that I was last tabbed into. As I am writing this, I can't click off of chrome, I can't click on the windows toolbar, and if I try tabbing into another app using Win+tab or alt+tab, I cannot interact with anything on that app. I found that the only way to fix this, is to unlpug the mouse's dongle and then plug it back in. It is because I can still click on and interact with chrome, I know that it's not a hardware issue, and I'm 90% certain it has to do with synapse.
