Razer Blackshark Pro V2 Not recognized by Synapse OR the firmware updater | Razer Insider
Skip to main content

As countless others have already posted, I am having an issue connecting my brand new Razer Blackshark Pro V2 headset to the Razer software.
I already own a Razer keyboard, so I’m very familiar with Synapse. It just doesn’t show up, despite the headset being recognized by my PC.

When I try to update my firmware, I am given instructions to:
1) Plug in the wireless transceiver (dongle) to your PC.
CHECK. I did that.
2) Connect the headset to the PC using the charging cable (cable provided with the product).
CHECK. Also did that.

But guess what?
I cannot hit the “next” button. It is greyed out. There are NO other options.

Many many MANY people have complained about this issue.
Part of the selling point of this product is that you can have multiple EQ profiles for gaming, etc.

Why why WHY is such a huge company like Razer releasing products that can’t even pair with the software that is designed for this specific product?

I have tried multiple USB ports (all of my ports are working fine). I have tried the driver cleanup. Didn’t work.
I have tried running as administrator. Didn’t work.

NOTHING WORKS. As a long-term Razer customer, I’m about to quit using their products entirely. Not that it matters much to them, but I’m genuinely upset that I paid $200 these headphones.

I feel like I’ve been scammed. If any of y’all have solutions, please let me know.
If by some miracle an actual Razer support employee decides to reply to this post… You have to make this right. I’m beyond upset with my purchase. In the event that I have to return this product, I will never buy Razer again and I will make sure people are aware of the poor quality of their products.

I have the same problem. This headset costs $200 and it can’t even connect to the software...were you able to come up with a resolution?

I was able to solve the issue. The way that they market their headsets is really confusing. They have the Blackshark v2 pro 2023 for Xbox, PS5, and PC, but on the box of the PS5 ones, they say that it is PC-supported (which is technically true because the device will work fine if you connect it to the PC, except Synpase will not recognize it). If you are having issues connecting it to Synapse, I would recommend double checking the Part number on your device (starts with PN). The ones you want for PC in my case for the 2023 one was RZ04-04530100-R3U1. If you google this part number, click on the first Razer link, and it tells you that it is for Xbox/PS5, you need to get the right headset. Hope this helps someone out because this was driving me crazy. Thanks Lily from the support team :)
