Subject:!--tgqphd|[]--> Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (2023) — Mic Mute button bug / volume drops to 0%!--tgqphd|[]-->
Message:!--tgqphd|[]-->
Hello Razer Support Team,!--tgqphd|[]-->
I am experiencing a severe software/firmware bug with my Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (2023) headset after recent Razer Synapse updates.!--tgqphd|[]-->
Every time I press the physical "Mute" button on the headset, Razer Synapse forces the Windows microphone volume slider down to 0% (instead of just muting the stream). When I un-mute the microphone by pressing the button again, the volume slider remains at 0% and does not return to its original value. I have to manually alt-tab from my games and drag the Windows microphone volume slider back to 100% every single time.!--tgqphd|[]-->
This issue started happening recently and it completely ruins the gaming experience, as my teammates cannot hear me after I use the hardware mute button.!--tgqphd|[]-->
I have already tried:!--tgqphd|[]-->
- Reinstalling Razer Synapse completely (using the Razer Clean Up Tool).!--tgqphd|[]-->!--tgqphd|[]-->
- Disabling the "Exclusive mode" for the microphone device in Windows sound settings.!--tgqphd|[]-->!--tgqphd|[]-->
- Testing the headset with Synapse closed (the hardware button works fine without Synapse running, proving it's a software/driver issue).!--tgqphd|[]-->!--tgqphd|[]-->!--tgqphd|[]-->
Please forward this to your software development team so they can fix this bug in the next Synapse update or firmware release.!--tgqphd|[]-->
Looking forward to your reply.!--tgqphd|[]-->
