“Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (2023) – Synapse 4 EQ and Mic Settings Not Working”

I am extremely disappointed with my experience using the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (2023) on Windows 11. After installing Synapse 4 and THX Spatial Audio, I expected everything to work seamlessly. Instead, the software feels half-baked and unreliable.

  • The EQ settings in Synapse 4 do absolutely nothing – no changes are applied to the audio output.

  • The microphone settings (Noise Reduction, Voice Clarity, etc.) are completely useless, they simply don’t work.

  • Even though I correctly set my default playback device to THX Spatial, the problems remain.

It honestly feels like this product is not fully compatible with Synapse 4, and customers are being left to deal with broken software. For a company like Razer that promotes itself as a leader in gaming hardware and audio, this level of quality is unacceptable.

I strongly urge Razer to fix these issues immediately, otherwise this headset becomes nothing more than an overpriced pair of headphones with non-functional features.

I am pretty sure there is an issue, either with your headset or your PC.

Whatever it is, trust me, the changes are WILD, like, it’s impossible not to hear them, microphone or sound-wise.

You may want to contact the support or try clean uninstall-reinstall procedures, maybe an other machine as well, because as I said, for me it works flawlessly and has always been (I may be very lucky idk), and the changes in settings do make a huge difference.

For me the device is always the headset itself (Razer Blackshark V2 Pro) and not THX Spacial, that may be your problem.

I just got the new Razer Blackshark v2 Pro 2023. I couldn't get THX to work at first. I tried for two days. Finally, I found a solution: if there's another driver on the computer (REALTEK), uninstall it. Remove it from Device Manager. If there are Realtek drivers in Program Files, Program Data, or App Data, delete them.

Just to be sure, uninstall your sound card drivers with DDU. Then, do a clean install of Synapse 4. Once Synapse 4 is installed, connect the headset's charging cable to your computer (the headset should be connected via cable while installing the audio driver). Once it's finished, switch between THX and Stereo without disconnecting the cable and you'll see it works. That's how I solved the problem.
