Razer Blackshark V2 Pro 2023 Unmute does not work

Hello Guys,

Anyone ran into the issue with Blackshark V2 Pro 2023 Edition when you mute the microphone with the side button, then try to unmute the microphone, with the same button, the mic actually does not unmute? It stucks muted until I either restart my PC, or I turn off/on the headset. Which is kinda frustrating.

I had upgraded the firmware as it was recommended by the Synapse, however I don’t know if it worked before the firmware upgrade. :(

Anyone have some suggestions how to fix it? Or maybe there will be a future firmware upgrade or Synapse update to fix the issue?

 

Edit: nvm. it’s just started to work now.😂

    Edit: Nope. Sometimes the mute button completely turns off my mic until I restart my headset. Issue is still ongoing. :’(

      Same for me :-( Windows shows the Mute/Unmute Status correctly but after unmuting there is no audio going through the microphone… hoping for a solution soon.

        I am also having this issue out of the box. Unboxed mine today and having the issue. Able to mute using the side button but unable to un-mute. This applies to Discord and Windows itself so its not an application issue.

        Plug dongle directly into PC. Not keyboard, headset stand, etc.

        The dongle is already plugged directly into the PC for me and I still have the issue. :D

        I had the same issue- dongle plugged into PC directly. What solved it for me was switching the USB port the dongle was connected to.

          have you solved the problem? i have got same issue after reinstalling win11. Dongle plugged in directly, Synapse reinstalled several times. 

           

          I've found out, that thx spatial audio is working bad. But without it - sound from mic is poor.

          Can confirm that this fixed the issue, furthermore after formatting the pc I have switched the USB prot because i was cleaning the pc so this makes even more sense.

          Unmute is also broken when using the headset with Cisco Jabber. Programs like Jabber are notoriously finicky with sound devices (input and output). When muting the mic, Jabber stops taking input from the headset. Upon unmuting the mic, Jabber still thinks the mic is muted and refuses to pick up sound from the mic.

          The “mute” button on the headset doesn’t mute the actual headset, it mutes the microphone input in Windows. That’s why I can use my old SteelSeries Arctis 7 with Jabber just fine. The Arctis headset mutes the headset itself, not the microphone input in Windows. This headset from Razer will have to be returned. By trusting that Windows applications will honor the microphone mute settings, Razer leaves the door open for faults to occur. Just mute at the mic and call it a day.
