Razer Blackshark v2 x microphone creating strange noise

I recently got a pair of razer blackshark v2 x's for Christmas and up until today they have been working perfectly fine however today while on a discord call it started creating a loud static noise I'm unsure if its a software issue or the headset

I had the same experience with the mic - out of the blue during 3-4h long discord session I was told that it started to sound bad with cracking sound. No idea what the reason for that is...

    I posted in another thread, but I am also experiencing very inconsistent mic quality over discord. The most common piece of feedback I get is that my volume fluctuates randomly, so it sounds like I am constantly moving my face closer and away from the mic.

    Try to disable automatic gain in Discord. This will stop the application from controlling the MIC'c gain and will result in consistent experience for your listeners. When I use discord with the BlackShark or Blue Yeti all such things are disabled as they get in the way of clean and consistent sound.
