razer blackwidow (2019) stopped working

So I had this keyboard for about a month, no issues. All of a sudden, the leds go off and I hear the windows sound of an USB device being unplugged. Anyway, chroma does not see the keyboard, and additionally the keyboard shows up as Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed). I was in the middle of a game too. I've tried uninstalling the drivers, restarted my computer, I've uninstalled and reinstalled synapse and cortex multiple times. I've even tried the blackwidow firmware updater. since windows doesn't see the black widow as a black widow, the firmware updater does not work. synapse doesn't see the keyboard either. I've tried hardresetting the keyboard using several different commands as i plug in the keyboard to a USB port. I can't test this against another computer as i don't have one but i have over 15 usb ports and none of them work.
