Recently some keys (random) are double typing, which is very frustrating.
I already did a firmware update, reset my keyboard to the default settings, check Windows keyboard settings, cleaned the keyboard.
Nothing seems to work.
Is there any solution to fix this?
Thank you in advance.

Same issue for me heree. What you’re seeeing in this chat boox isn’t typoos, it’s just how my bblackwidow v3 mini hyperspeed typese if I don’t correct it. It’s incrediblly annoying. I’vee updated my firmware, did a hard reset of thee kkeyboard, and yet……...
As I said before, this is most likely a lubrication issue with the switches (if nothing else works, like updates and stuff). The only thing you can do is clean the switches, but since it is not a hot-swap you need to desolder them disassemble them, and clean them. You could try to force in some isopropyl alcohol but it is not a permanent solution, if it still has a warranty just talk to them, and they will send you another one, with the same problem…..from a good intention that they had, it turned into a recurring problem
i just got my blackwidow v3 and i noticed that the “i” key sometimes gets put in double. i'm rather dissapointed, i wanted a good keyboard. even the old one i used from gxt that was cheap and has no ghosting, but i love the lighting that the blackwidow v3 has to offer.
Started getting this issue around 3 months ago, for some reason it happens more often on my mac than on my windows machine.
Purchased this around a year and a half ago, and it is infuriating. I’ve had Corsair as well, but that one took like 7 years of neglect before it started to cause issues, and even then it is not as bad as the BlackWidow 3. I still have warranty, but that means that I need a replacement to work with while the keyboard gets serviced (if I even get them to do it at all).
Suffice to say, I am not looking forward to more Razer products. I also had issues with some of their earbuds for a while. So far, only the Basilisk mouse I got keeps working fine.
For any whom this may help. I contacted the warranty company a week ago and sent them my keyboard with its attachments and instructions regarding the failing keys. I got a brand new replacement a few minutes ago, and I am typing with it now, zero issues. However, my warranty will expire in a few weeks, so if this one also gets the same issue I will have no choice but to somehow repair it myself or get something else.
Make sure to keep your receipt in a safe place. I lost mine, but I had a member card from the shop so I went there personally and they gave me a copy of my receipt, which was proof enough to get them to check the keyboard and replace it. Warranty is 2 years in my case, but I assume it varies by product, model, country, etc.
Hopefully this one lives a long life.
I have a Black Widow v3 Pro and I hae the issue where sometimes keys don’t register when I type them and sometimes a key will double type. This isn’t a problem all of the time and sometimes it is worse than others. I updated to the latest firmwar and and have synapse updated. I’ve tried losing synapse and the problem persists. Right now it’s now too bad (up until this point it’s only happened twie -- now three times -- with the “v” on have, the “e” on firmware, and the “c” on twice). I purposely didn’t fix any mistakes. Usually I’d say it is worse than this.
This started happening about 2 months ago and I’ve just been dealing with it but it’s gotten so bad in the last few days that I started searching for solutions. I have a BW v3 Pro that was on software revision 1.00 something so updated to the current June 23rd firmware 3. something and it’s solved the problem. I suspect that they put a nearly imperceptible delay buffer in the key scan so that the double strike that happens within milliseconds is removed.

for v3 pro check latest firmware i had double typing too and i had to give up and buy another brand…. 1 year lather they come up with this update
This update fixed it for my blackwidow v3 pro.
Hey ! I finally find a solution for that. This is not a software issue but a mechanical one. Just remove the keycaps (keyboard off), and put few drops of isopropylic alcohol on the switch and spam it so that the liquid penetrates well. Let it dry 30/40 min. The operation work fine for me (double e typing everytime). If this could help some and prevent them from throwing away their keyboard or worse buying a new one from razer.
If razer reads this : beautiful keyboards should’t hide a shitty conception, no need to garantee 50M hits when they barely do 10%
I have the same problem! First item V is spamming and not working. The physical shop replace it. Now, letter “U” is douuble typing. Just look at that word I did not delete the extra “u” when I typed. Frustrating!!!!
I'm sorry to hear you're facing a similar issue. Were you able to find a solution for it?

This update fixed it for my BWv3Pro too! Sorry to all those who are still having issues. That sucks. I’m glad I found this thread though.
Thanks!
In my case, I managed to get Razer to replace the problematic keyboard with a new unit.
Bought it a month or two ago . Hopefully doesn't happen to me .
on the verrgge of throwing it away now!
Just bought a new blackwidow v4 pro today, and sadly it led me to this thread. I bougght a blackwidow v3 and it had keyboard pingg, so I took it back and went with the BWV4PRO. Now one hour into usingg my new keyboard… as you can see from the duplicate letter gg… I have the same issue as this thread. Two brand new keyboards and issues. What's goingg on razer? I used to love their products. Maybe it's time to move on from them. So frustratingg 200$ for a keyboard we shouldn’t be having issues like this that could have been caught in no time with quality control.

I also have this issue on my Rzer Blckwidow v4 pro. As you cana see I am lso hving the issue of my ‘A’ key sometimes not registering and other times double registering. I am lelaving in aalll of the repeated letters to let you ll see how awful this is. The ‘L’ key lso has this issue s shown.
I m in the process of getting replcement keys, but this is awful.
Edit: On second thought, I will be throwing this keyboard across the room nd buy a different brand. very disappointed.

Which switches does your keyboard have? Mmy Blackwidow v3 minii has Razer Yellow switchees (the linear one) and it’s the onne with this issue as weell. But my Blackwidow v3 Pro hass Razer Green switches (the clicky one) and it has been workiing fine all along. Have had the pro for a longer time as well.
The issue wasn’t present at the start but over tiime iit has just got worse and spread throughout the keyboard
PS: Iit should be evident which keyboard I’ve used for this reply.

Mine is the yellow switches one. And yes it’s getting worse over time. Now 00 starts double typingg too.
I'm on my second Keyboard , first one was replaced by the warranty and the replacement just started having siimilar issues - Perfect example - double ii as I typed my review. Completely dissapoiinted - did it again, doesn't always happens but it does seem like razer is no longer what it used to be.
It probably lasted a little over a 1 yr, products are now becoming disposable. Razer Blackwidow Mini hyperspeed is not recommended - it has manufacturing issues.
The firs keyboard i bought starting having issues about 1 month in, got a replacement and now after a little over 1 yr of use it starting having same issues as the first.
Like one of the previous replies - the switches are yellow switches and it doesn't matter if using bluetooth or connected using usb cable same issue.
New keyboard has the option for replaceable keys, due to the issues with the previous design flaws. Wish that razzer - did it again -- would give customers the option to upgrade to the new version at 50% or something like that.
My keyboard BWV3 had the same issue, after reading these commets i saw the cause was due to overlubrication. So i took it to my garage removed the keycaps from the annoying buttons and blew compressed air in them. this fixed the issue for me (for now)..
Same solution for the horendous volume scroller, i blew the compressed air to the side of it making it spin really fast and now it finaly does what i tell it to do. no more random volume inputs.
Hope this easy fix works for everyone with the issue.
Kind regard Randal
I “solve” the multiple typing problem by smashing de sh** out of each button that had this problem.Try testing in a text editor like this:

When you find double typing, use the rage, frustration and a little madness against that button. Tell me how it goes pls.
I’ve got the same issue with my BW Pro V4. Just started with my 1 key. It double types it even with the most recent firmware update. I’ve tried connecting to different computers and it happens even when Synapse isn’t installed. Starting an RMA on it…
This is what worked for me (works for all mechanical switches keyboards and mice)
Unplug the keyboard
Remove the keycap (and those around it if you like to have some space)
Spray some WD-40 inside the switch (inside the switch, not around it nor on the board! You may want to use a napkin so it doesn't spill)
Let it work overnight
It should work now
It's usually a thin oxide layer on the switch plate. This is why I like optical switches better.
