razer blackwidow v4 wont connect

I got the BlackWidow v4 100% about 3 months ago and it went unused after about a month due to some personal matters. I don't have the original cable it came with, but I'm using a different usb cable and it still won't connect to my laptop, when it did a few months ago. During this time it's been left in it's box so ik it's not a damage issue. I've tried both usb ports and it won't connect, but my mouse connects just fine (my mouse isn't a Razer product.) I've also tried a different cable and that doesn't work either, I've tried restarting my laptop and reinstalling Razer synapse and the issue is still persisting. Could the issue just be because I'm not using the original usb C port it came with?
