Razer Blade 14, 14 months old - Won’t turn on

Hi,

As the title says I purchased a Razer 14 (RZ09-0427NEA3) in Nov 2022. I’m looking for some help from the support team.
 

Last week it to my surprise it wouldn’t power up. Ive tried all the suggested power cycling. I’m very used to having to do this as this laptop has always been a bit strange with the screen not always coming on when booting.

 

When I went to raise a support ticket and provided my serial number the system informed me that it wasn’t under warranty. Considering it is only two months outside this period and it cost me nearly $4K is there anything you can do to help me with this?

Hi, did you find a solution to this elsewhere? I seem to have the same problem. Didn’t use the laptop for a couple of days and now it won’t turn on. No lights, power button does nothing, tried USB C charger and still the same. It seems there are quite a few others that have the same issue as us.

Hi, did you ever hear feedback from the Razer team on this?

I've had the same issue on the same product from the same month of purchase. 

Even after following all of the troubleshooting options the laptop still won't turn on. The LED indicator just flashes green slowly.

Not sure what the options are here.

 

 

 

Nothing from Razer but from what I have been able to research since having this issue, it is a motherboard fault as a certain component on it overheats and dies. Only fix is to replace the motherboard. But once replaced, the new motherboard will also be subject to the same potential issue.

I got lucky and got a full refund from the seller but since then my Razer mouse also died for the second time (also got a full refund). Razer needs to up the quality control for sure. Not sure I will ever buy again even though I loved the laptop and mouse while I had it and it was working. Have bought a desktop now and a Surface.
