Razer Blade 14 2022 - NVidia GPU and HDMI out stopped working

I’m on a Razer Blade 14 that had to be serviced last year because it refused to start.

After I got it back from servicing, I was only using the laptop for work, and not gaming, linked to a Prism+ monitor. Played Diablo IV yesterday and today the HDMI out stopped working.

I looked at the Device Manager and the NVidia card had a message that it was blocked by Windows because of an error. Tried starting the NVidia Control Panel but it completely did not start so I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled as instructed by most articles online. Also updated the AMD and Intel drivers. After all that, Device Manager still does not detect the NVidia GPU and the NVidia Control Panel still doesn’t start:

Does this mean that something has happened to the GPU? Diablo IV ran hot but I had the laptop on a cooling stand…

Any help would be really appreciated as the laptop is out of warranty. Really frustrated that I bought a gaming laptop and haven’t really been able to game with it because of replacement and now what looks like a failing GPU…

I have this same issue, but I have the 2021 Blade 14.  My HDMI stopped working and I have an error in my Drivers that says that windows has stopped the device because it has reported problems.  Does anyone know the solution to this issue?    As a side note, I have a Startech external monitor extender and it connects to 2 DVI monitors and one hdmi.  The DVI monitors are still working, but the HDMI stopped, I tried connecting directly to the HDMI output and that doesn’t work so it seems like it’s only with HDMI and I’m assuming is related to the NVIDIA driver not working. I

@livinglands - Did you try reinstalling or updating your Nvidia driver?  I’m going to see if I can update the driver.

I uninstalled and reinstalled driver. I even reinstalled windows and nothing helped.

Razer support outside warranty is non-existent. I took it to a shop to look at and they’re diagnosing now but indications are that there’s a motherboard issue.

Same issue happened yesterday to me.

I barely used my razer blade 14 for gaming and the only game I have been playing for a few hours since I bought the laptop is Diablo IV (and not even that much).

Yesterday after playing for a few hours and exit the game, the laptop restarted.

Today the GPU won’t work, BIOS won’t recognise the GPU, Nvidia Control Panel won’t open, dxdiag error message:

  • There is a problem with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU device. For more information, search for “graphics device driver error code 43”.

Reinstalled the drivers and didn’t work, rolled back the driver and didn’t work, factory reset the laptop and still didn’t work.

I’m suspecting either the GPU is dead or a motherboard issue which would be an insane since I barely play on this laptop since I bought it.

Also HDMI won’t work as mentioned by others here.

Hey man it seems like Im having the same issue… Did you ever get a diagnosis?
